HDS midi

HDS MIDI interface work on the base of noncontact sensors and for its operation does not need additional force or mechanical contact. That means, that is diatonic button accordion stays intact from mechanical point of view. During the use of MIDI interface the whole operation is invisible, because HDS MIDI interface do not have special control panel, which could possibly harm the diatonic button accordion and change its appearance essentially. All functions are arranged on the buttons of diatonic button accordion and can be used with a help of just one 'select' key, which is mounted on the left side. The only one thing visible from outside are cable connector and 'select' key, which are discretely mounted on the left side of diatonic button accordion (or on the right side - by request).

 

 

Technical details:


  • 9 separate MIDI channels: - Descant 1,2,3, Bas 1,2, Chord channel, Rhythm channel, Split channel, Sample channel

  • Real bellows dynamic, which can respond different on each channel (expression)

  • 28 dynamic curve shapes for choosing dynamic response on individual channel

  • Dynamic curve shapes aloud you continuous transition between instruments (the harder you pull the bellows, stiller is first instrument and lauder is second instrument)

  • Select functions: 11 various functions on black keys for switching of midi channels, transposing...

  • Split channel – you can divide your keyboard on 2 different instruments.

  • All channels work independently and can be turned on at the same.

  • Dynamic switch between channels/instruments (by pulling or compressing the bellows hard)

  • 100 settings: in MIDI interface you can store up to100 various settings of sounds and dynamics

  • MIDI interface installation do not harm the appearance of diatonic accordion  (do not need the display or visible external controls)

  • Select key – is a key for keyboard to changing into patch or function

  • Bellows zero point calibration and key calibration (anytime with select key)

  • USB connection with PC (software enclosed)

  • Operates on the basis of fast non-contact sensors

Select functions, supported by HDS midi interface:


Select function turns on and performs defined effect on MIDI interface. All those functions are arranged in the internal row of buttons on a diatonic accordion (arrangement sketch is in instructions):

 

  • Descant On/Off (switch on or off the whole right side)

  • Bass On/Off (switch on or off the whole bass side)

  • Descant dynamic On/Off (switch on or off the bellows dynamic on right side)

  • Bass Dynamic On/Off (switch on or off the bellows dynamic on bass side)

  • Transpose + (transpose whole instrument for a semitone  up)

  • Transpose - (transpose whole instrument for a semitone  down)

  • Bellows zero point calibration (execute setting of middle of the bellows - zero point)

  • STOP command (sends stop command for playback/rhythm on keyboard)

  • Set I/II (switch between programs on white keys from 1-25 to 26-50

  • START command (sends start command to synthesizer for playback/rhythm on keyboard)

  • Descant Velocity On/Off (switch on or off the piano accordion dynamic on right side)

  • Velocity bass On/Off (switch on or off the piano accordion dynamic on bass side)

  • Rhythm channel On/Off (switch on or off the rhythm channel)

  • Split channel On/Off (switch on or off the split channel or switch on or off the descant 4 channel, depends on what you choose)

  • Split channel On/Off and define the note (turns on the split channel and wait for the defined note to be played-this defined note becomes the split point)

  • Key-adjust (calibrate all sensors on keys)

 

 

PC program enables:

 

  • Simple sounds and effects editing on your PC!

  • 100 settings, that you can recall with a help of select key (number of programs is dependent on number of buttons of the accordion)

  • All sound settings you can store on hard disk as your own sound library

  • You can store and recall individual settings also

  • For each setting you can choose various dynamic curve shapes and dynamic types!

  • You can also set all others parameters of MIDI interface, change tones...

  • You can assign desired select function to selected button of accordion

  • Work on Win98, Win2000, WinXP

  • NEW: with the new HDS system you can easy program and listen at the same time (by pulling the USB cable out)

  • HDS PRO box - standard enables you to play 2 accordions, but separately

  • HDS PRO box - MARGE enables you to play 2 MIDI accordions at the same time

 

MIDIficated instrument (instrument with installed MIDI interface) can be connected with every digital sound generator: keyboard, Soundexpander, PC, sound module etc. Be careful, that all instrument and sound generator settings are set according to setting instructions.

 


Important

 

MIDI system is often incorrect judged by sound. Installed MIDI only sends information about tone/note to selected/applied digital sound generator (PC, keyboard), which is responsible for sound quality. That means: if sound of sound generator is good, more joy it brings!

 

We do non want you to be disappointed so, please, use sound generators we recommend (for example HDS Pro.Sound.1). With the use of recommended sound generators you have advantage of special settings (sound quality and musical universality also) to be assured.
